Tao Te Ching – Lao Tzu – Chapter 40

反者道之動;弱者道之用。
天下萬物生於有,有生於無。
Reversion is the action of Tao.
Gentleness is the function of Tao.
The things of this world come from Being,
And Being (comes) from Non-being.
(Translation by Yu Tang Lin)

Tao itself is formless, shapeless, and voiceless. The movement of the Tao repeats continuously, and it is independent and unmodified. It is not affected by anything. There is no starting point nor end point.

The Tao is unlimited, and it runs through the universe. The passage of time will not stop and can reach far in the distance, but also can reverse and flow back and forth everywhere.

Tao in the operation of all things in the world is soft.

All creatures of the world are born in the physical being, while the physical being itself is born from non-being.
