To some people, it’s just another breaking news story.
For me, however, it was a sudden and soul-shaking reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life is, a jolt that we all need from time to time.
Four lives, four stories, and four profound insights – this incident was a catalyst for a profound change in my perspective on “time,” “mission,” and “the grace of the present.” It has the potential to ignite a similar transformation in you, offering a beacon of hope in the face of life’s uncertainties.
The first story is about a family that had long dreamed of immigrating to the UK.
Their dream was put on hold as they navigated life’s responsibilities and occasionally put it off. Finally, they managed to board the plane… but would never reach their destination.
I have come to realize that we all have too many plans that we assume that we will do later, only to discover that “later” actually means “never eventually.” This tragedy has taught me the importance of living in the moment and acting now, a lesson that will inspire you to seize the day.
Second: A lady who was also supposed to be on that flight.
She was late and thus missed the check-in. She pleaded desperately to be allowed to board the plane but was refused. She felt furious and frustrated by the situation until she later realized that the delay was not a setback but a form of divine protection, a complication that God used to keep her alive.
Third: A survivor.
The plane broke apart upon crashing, and he happened to be seated in the section that didn’t catch fire. He walked out of the wreckage in a daze, alive, emerging from a disaster that was supposedly impossible to survive. That wasn’t luck; he surely survived because there were great things that he needed to do in the future. I recalled that scripture: “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 That day, it wasn’t his time to die.
Fourth : And those who did not survive.
They had dreams, families, and unfinished lives.
They kissed their loved ones goodbye that morning… never imagining it would be for the last time.
Their lives remind us that we cannot assume that we will be given more time, that we are destined to grow old, and that there are certainties in life.
What we can rely on is what we have now—the present and all the opportunities that come with it.
So, as long as you still have today… as long as you are still breathing, still have strength, and can still act… don’t waste it.
Don’t wait for that “perfect moment.”
Love now, apologize now, forgive now, dream now, express now. After all, life doesn’t always warn you about what’s to come; sometimes, “next time” will never arrive.

對某些人而言，不過是另一則突發新聞。對我而言，卻是一次撼動心靈的提醒：生命是多麼脆弱、多麼難以預測。
四條生命，四段故事，四個深刻的啟示——徹底改變了我對「時間」、「使命」以及「當下的恩典」的看法。
第一：一個多年來夢想移民英國的家庭。
生活中的種種責任、拖延與決定，一再讓這個夢延後。終於，他們成功登機……卻永遠無法抵達目的地。
我領悟到：我們心中都有太多「以後要做」的計畫，但若一味等待，「以後」終究會變成「永不」。
第二：一位原本也應該搭乘那班飛機的女士。
她遲到了，錯過了報到，苦苦哀求想登機，但被拒絕。當下她憤怒、沮喪，感到被命運打敗——直到後來才明白，那場延誤，其實是神聖的保護。
我們未必總能得到自己想要的，
因為上帝看見我們看不見的風險。
有時，祂的「不」正是讓我們活下去的恩典。
第三：一位倖存者。
飛機在墜毀時斷裂，而他恰好坐在未起火的那一節。他茫然地走出殘骸，活著，從一場被認為毫無生還可能的災難中走出來。
那不是幸運，而是使命。我想起那句經文：「凡事都有定期，天下萬務都有定時。」——傳道書 3:1
那一天，不是他的時候。
第四：還有那些沒有生還的人。他們有夢、有家人、有未完成的人生。他們那天早上吻別心愛之人……卻沒想到，那竟是最後一次。
他們的生命提醒我們：時間不是理所當然，我們沒有保證會活到老年，沒有保證「以後」一定會到來。我們所擁有的，是此刻—— 一口氣、一個心跳、一個機會。
所以，只要你還有今天……只要你還在呼吸、還有力量、還能行動，就別浪費。別再等那個「完美時機」。
現在去愛吧！現在去道歉、去原諒、去做夢、去表達。
因為生命並不總有預警，有時候……「下一次」永遠不會來。
